Website privacy policy
Last updated: 18 April 2026 · Effective: 18 April 2026
This policy covers the Assertr marketing website at assertr.app. It does not cover the Assertr mobile app; see our App privacy policy for that.
We are the data controller: Fortnight AI Ltd, 45 Woodland Close, Southampton SO18 5RD, United Kingdom. Company number 17085717.
1. What we collect when you visit
- Request metadata. IP address, user-agent, referrer, page path, timestamp, processed transiently by our host (Vercel) for delivery, security, and abuse protection.
- Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track users across sites. It aggregates page views and basic engagement signals using a hashed visitor identifier that resets daily.
- Waitlist email. If you submit the launch waitlist form, we store your email address and optional UTM parameters so we can email you about the launch. We use Brevo as our email service provider.
We do not run advertising pixels, third-party marketing trackers, or cross-site fingerprinting.
2. Cookies and local storage
The site uses a small number of technical cookies / local-storage entries needed to remember your cookie preferences and cookie banner state. Analytics is cookieless. You can clear these in your browser settings at any time.
3. Lawful basis
- Serving the site and keeping it secure, legitimate interests (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Waitlist email, consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), collected when you submit the form. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails.
4. Retention
- Request logs, up to 30 days at the host (Vercel), primarily for abuse and incident response.
- Analytics, aggregated counts only, retained for up to 12 months.
- Waitlist entries, retained until you unsubscribe or the launch campaign ends, whichever is sooner.
5. International transfers
Vercel and Brevo process data on servers that may be located outside the UK/EEA. Where transfers occur, they are governed by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses, together with encryption in transit and at rest.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, and the right to data portability. To exercise any right, email privacy@assertr.app. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local EEA supervisory authority.
7. External links
The site links to third-party pages (App Store, Google Play, LinkedIn). Once you follow those links, the receiving site's own privacy notice applies.
